Gary’s “Tiny House of the Week” – February 2023

How often have you ever seen a tiny house with a garage door in the living room? Well, this is my first one and it turns this tiny home into an outdoor retreat.

This is a great solution for those that love to extend their living space outside during the summer. The Breezeway, from Tiny Heirloom, does have a regular door as well, which is placed on the opposite side. The interior gives the same modern-rustic vibe as the exterior. The dark wood floors and the reclaimed barn wood walls in the kitchen go really well with the quartz countertops.

The kitchen area also has LED accent strips that decorate those walls. It adds to the sophisticated look. The modern appliances blend in really nicely too. The full-size fridge, the sink with the bronze faucet, and the microwave don’t take up much of the interior space. People even get a dishwasher and a three-burner stove to prepare delicious meals.

A wet bar positioned in front of a large window is the perfect spot to have dinner with a view. Owners can add a deck outside and open up the window for a full indoor-outdoor experience.

Automation is threaded deep into the layers of design in this home. Linear actuator TV lift and touch-activated storage door openers to name a few. A secondary swivel TV in the master loft provides great viewing from the comfort of your bed or from the kitchen below.

The full kitchen is outfitted with a 3 burner gas stovetop, oven, full-size microwave, and full-size fridge as well as a dishwasher. The wet bar is on the opposite side of the kitchen and large opening windows create a bar-like feel when the deck is placed outside the house at the final destination in Texas.

The master bath suite was finished with marble-styled walls, a porcelain tiled shower, and half glass no door entrance appealing to all the senses. Topped off with storage and a washer and dryer combo this bath suite has it all in less than 30 square feet of space.
