Texas County Adding 3,000 New Homes in 2024

Did I just say 3,000 new homes in one Texas county next year?

Yes, I did. And those homes are going into just seven new residential communities. Now you have to ask how is that possible? The red tape and all those independently imposed codes and regulations will take over a year to complete but not when those homes are manufactured homes built to the HUD code!

.

According to information from the U.S. Census Bureau, more homes are shipped to Texas than any other state.

After a drop in the number of manufactured homes shipped to Texas from 2018 to 2019, the numbers have increased since then. Since 2019, the number of homes shipped to Texas has grown to 19,865 from 15,866 in 2022. As of June this year, 7,345 have been shipped.

.

According to Texas A&M University’s Texas Real Estate Research Center, increased production and sales stimulated manufactured housing activity for the seventh straight month in August, according to the latest Texas Manufactured Housing Survey.
