Denver Mayor Promises Tiny Home Village for 1,000 People

The new mayor of Denver, Colorado is building a tiny home village for 1,000 local residents.

Each home will cost as little as $13,900 to build, but only certain locals can apply for a house. Each 70 to 120-square-foot home will cost between $13,900 and $18,900. What’s more, they can be erected in under one hour.

Mike Johnston, who became mayor of Denver, Colorado in July, is set to break ground on a new tiny home village for 1,000 people.

The so-called micro-community is part of Johnston’s House1000 initiative – a plan to remedy the homeless crisis in Mile High City.

Situated on S Sante Fe Drive, the new village aims to welcome 1,000 residents by the end of the year.

Although the time frame is short, the houses on site will be both cheap and fast to construct.
