Modular Homes For Sale

Modular homes are simply homes that are built offsite, in an indoor factory setting, to a local state code. In most cases, states have adopted the International Residential Code, or IRC. Modern modular homes are often referred to as “factory-built,” “systems-built,” or “prefab” homes. First, a modular home is built as sections, or modules, in a climate-controlled, advanced factory environment. Then, these sections are transported to the building site and assembled.

Modern modular homes are quickly becoming recognized not only for their lower cost compared to traditional site-bulit homes, but also for their often superior building quality, customizability, and longevity. Because modern modular homes are built indoors, they can be completed in a matter of weeks as opposed to months. In addition, they don’t see the typical on-site delays caused by weather or climate-related problems. Best of all, modern modular homes are classified as permanent structures; that is to say, they are “real property” and as such, qualify for the same financing terms, rates, and conditions as site-built homes, which makes modular home financing a breeze.
